Rough Andamooka, South Australia, "Painted Lady" opal specimen, uncut and unpolished. This gorgeous piece is opal naturally occuring in an ancient hardened sandstone. Natural cracks and crazing is visible on the surface, and the opal has been photographed whilst wet, which brings out the colours.
